13 Year Old Boy Dives Repeatedly In Low Visibility Water To Rescue 11 Year Old At Silver Lake

In July 2025, a normal day at Silver Lake in Everett, Washington turned into an emergency within seconds.

An 11-year-old boy fell from a dock into the water and did not resurface. People nearby quickly realized something was wrong and began searching from above, but the lake water was dark and hard to see through.

A 13-year-old named Gauge Bryant decided to go in.

He entered the water and started diving, trying to locate the boy below. The first few attempts did not work. The visibility was too low, and he could not see clearly underwater.

Instead of stopping, he came back up, got goggles, and tried again.

Gauge continued diving multiple times, each attempt taking effort and time.

On one of those dives, he finally spotted the boy underwater near the dock.

He grabbed him and pulled him toward the surface.

Once they came up, people nearby helped lift the boy out of the water and onto the dock.

CPR was started immediately and continued until emergency responders arrived.

The boy was taken to the hospital and was later reported to be in stable condition.

The situation was not solved in one attempt.

It took repeated dives, low visibility, and one person choosing to keep going until the search turned into a rescue.
